Liong-Sen
Liong-Sen is a British
& Chinese professionally trained experienced complementary
therapist. He qualified in Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture, Tui-na
therapy, Chinese dietetics. He studied at the prestigious Beijing
TCM College Hospital in China. He is also a graduate of the
College of Integrated Chinese Medicine (UK) where he now lectures
post-graduate seminars. Liong-Sen also qualified in Shiatsu
and Therapeutic Deep-Tissue massage, holding diplomas from ITEC,
MTI and MRSS (Shiatsu).
Over the past ten
years he has received further postgraduate advanced specialist
training in China & UK in gynaecology, fertility, musculo-skeletal
disorders, pain management, sports injuries, male health &
facial revitalisation. He is also experienced in treating children’s
conditions (paediatrics).
Liong-Sen also trained
in Chinese healthy practical (TCM) cookery, holds an honours
diploma from the AHMA (American Hotel & Motel Association)
and a certificate from the City and Guilds (UK) specialising
in Food and Beverage and professional cookery. Apart from teaching
postgraduate seminars, he also runs practical Chinese healthy
cooking classes, organises retreats as well as affiliated workshops
in stress management and qi-gong. Liong-Sen himself is a passionate
tai-chi, qi-gong and meditation practitioner.
His treatment principles draw from his Chinese cultural heritage
& also the broad experience of his unique training and knowledge
derived from a combination of the Eastern traditional Chinese
philosophy of health and the concepts of Western medical science.
This manifests itself as a true passion for Chinese medicine.
As well as the treatment, Liong-Sen may give advice on diet,
exercise and lifestyle - encouraging self-understanding, improved
self-confidence and greater independence in health matters.
He is also a strong believer in “practising what he is
preaching”.
